Attention all Québec advisors!
The AMF PDU period ends November 30, and that date always sneaks up faster than we think.
If you’re licensed under the CSF, now’s the time to log in, double-check your totals, and make sure you’ve met your continuing-education requirements in every category.
1. Where to start?
Connect to your CSF account and see the status of your PDUs. You need 30 credits every 2 years.
2. Where to find PDUs ?
Here are various resources where you can find some PDU credits:
- Product Training – Check your WFG emails & WhatsApp group chats for opportunities.
- CSF Training Center – There are some free & paid courses.
- ivari Learning Center – Login to your ivari Advisor portal and check out the Learning Center.
3. What happens if I don’t have 30 PDUs by the end of the cycle?
Short answer: Don’t test it, just to them!
Long answer: The CSF will notify the AMF. You will receive a notice preceding suspension from the AMF. This gives you a short window (often 15 days) to correct the shortfall. If you STILL haven’t complied after that period, the AMF will issue a suspension decision for your certificate. You must stop acting in the representative role until the missing PDUs are completed and your record is updated.
4. What happens if I have more than 30 PDUs?
You can carry over up to 5 PDUs into the next reference period — but only if they’re earned between September 1 and November 30 of the final year of the current cycle.
These 5 PDUs can come from any category (general, compliance, or specific).
The carry-over is automatic — you don’t need to request it.
You can prioritize which categories to carry forward if you’d like the system to count certain ones first (for example, compliance or general). To do so, login your CSF account and identify your priorities.
